Thanks to all of you who donated to the Challenge Grant, issued to the Vancouver Humane Society by the Irene Joy Stewart and Florence Maud Shedden Endowment for Domestic and Wild Animal Welfare. We have reached our goal of $15,000, which will be matched by the fund!
Every penny raised will be used directly to help animals in desperate need of emergency medical care. Because of you, we have already been able to help animals like Blackie and Scrappy, two cats who were rescued from the street and needed medical attention for an injured paw and a severe viral infection; Duke, a shepherd cross suffering from untreated eczema, and Donovan, a sweet ginger cat who fell out of a window.
Our deep gratitude goes out to all of you and to the fund, set up to honour two sisters who loved animals, for enabling us to help those in dire need. These wonderful animals would thank you too, if only they could!
