Schools set to join Meatless Monday movement

VHS is working with several secondary schools who are interested in implementing their own Meatless Monday initiatives and VHS program coordinator Emily Pickett  is confident 2016 will see the movement continue to grow. Watch this space!
Langara College became the first post-secondary campus in Western Canada to join the popular Meatless Monday movement this past spring, in response to student demand and in collaboration with VHS.

Over 21,000 Langara students have access to delicious, healthy, meat-free options, including this rice bowl with meatless turkey, every Monday. Meatless Monday comes with a simple message: once a week, cut the meat. The initiative has been adopted by schools, hospitals, municipalities, companies, individuals and families and is a powerful way to make a meaningful difference for animals, our health, and the planet.

Take the Meatless Monday pledge today or contact Emily to help your school/workplace introduce their own initiative.
